The Power Of Positivity

By thinking one positive thought every morning you can psychologically trick your brain into being a happier person.

There are many ways you can do to be happy, but there’s one thing that’s proven effective time and time again. We’re talking about rewiring your brain and training it to be happy! The question is, how?

All your experiences and emotions in life – happiness, sadness, anger, and anxiousness – can all be attributed to what’s going on inside your brain. Your brain is said to produce a soup from four chemicals (oxytocin, dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin) which direct your behavior toward happiness.

However, science proved that you can take control of this balance in your brain and hack the chemical soup that it produces by understanding how it functions.

As studied, your brain got wired from your past experiences, thus the brain chemicals are turned in always the same way they were activated in the past.

When you’re young, brain neurons can build new lines easily, but as you grow old, it will require a lot of focus to do so.

So the trick is to make and start implementing a habit and repeat them until you feel this habit becomes natural to you.

But what kind of habit are we talking about?

The research mentioned in Shawn Achor’s bookclaims that you can rewire your brain by training it to be more positive in just 2 minutes every day for 21 days in a row. Here, we will try to rewire our brain not through usual meditation, counting blessings, writing goals, or doing an act of kindness. Instead, we will think of a positive thought or quote every morning and apply it in our life. Doing this, you can psychologically trick or teach your brain to be positive and happy.

Here’s how you do it.

  1. First, search for 21 positive thoughts or quotes on the internet.

  2. Choose the ones that hit and inspire you the most.

  3. Write down these thoughts in little sheets of paper (preferably plain white), then roll and drop them in a jar or box.

  4. Place the container in a place near your bed.

  5. It is best to write in a big plain paper in big bold letters “I AM HAPPY PERSON!” followed by a note in lower case letters “and today, the positive thought I will read will make me happier”.

In the morning, right after you wake up, follow these steps:

  1. Smile.

  2. Thank God for a new day!

  3. Read the notes on the wall aloud.

  4. Pick up one positive thought and read aloud.

  5. Promise to apply it in your daily life.

Do this every morning for 21 days, and the positivity you will get will bring you truly amazing happiness.

Positive thoughts you apply in your life will build positive emotions which will motivate you to make more, think better, and have good relationships with people around you.

At the end of the day, paste the little sheet on the Stick note and reflect about the quote before going to sleep.

These quotes will rewire and psychologically trick your brain to be a happier person.

Another good tip: On the first day of the following month, instead of writing positive thoughts, you can replace it with other things or goals – something challenging that will make you happier when achieved.

By doing so, you will be able to trick your brain, and the happy momentum in your brain will always continue.
